| If you are using one of those you need to find:- | |
| The Access Point Name (APN) for the network | |
| The username and password used with the APN. On many networks, these are not needed. Where a username and password are needed they are the same for all users, except for very specialist networks. | |
| Also on a lot of networks internet access is possible with any APN, username or password. | |
| The short code, normally starting * and ending #, that finds the credit. Not all networks have this code. It is only used to put the credit on texts and on the web and leaving it out doesn't affect anything else. | |
| On some networks the credit can be found by text. If that is the case, leave this section blank. The settings to find the credit by text are set from the website. | |
| By default, when the Network text is received, the mTrak unit will test the internet connection and text back. If you want to skip this step, add "N" after a comma. | |
| The text is | Network APN,username,password,[credit code],[response],[baud rate] |
| As an example, Giffgaff has an APN of 'giffgaff.com' and the username and password are 'gg' and 'p'. | |
| So the text is | Network giffgaff.com,gg,p,, |
| If the username or password are not needed, the commas are still required. | |
